Easy steps to Install Windows 7 on MacBook Air 2010

MacBook Air 2010 has released. You can have the new MacBook Air 2010 with 11-in or 13-inch. Many guys want to know how to install Windows 7 on MacBook Air 2010. Here are the method and tips to install Windows 7 on MacBook Air 2010.

First you must know the MacBook Air 2010 system requiements for Windows 7. MacBook Air 2010(11-inch and 13-inch)computers support 32 and 64 bit versions of Windows 7. Windows XP and Vista drivers are not supplied for these computers and are not supported.

If you want to use Boot Camp with with Windows 7, you need to know the following

* An optical drive (MacBook Air computers require an external optical disc drive to install Windows 7).

* A blank CD or USB storage device to contain the Windows Drivers created by the Boot Camp Assistant.

* For 32-bit versions of Windows, at least 16 GB of free space.

* For 64-bit versions of Windows, at least 20 GB of free space.

* Boot Camp Assistant, which is pre-installed in /Applications/Utilities/ .

* An authentic, 32-bit or 64-bit Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium, Professional, or Ultimate disc.

●Install Windows 7 on MacBook Air 2010

If you want to know how to install Windows 7 on MacBook Air 2010, you should know that the Boot Camp Assistant should download the correct drivers. Then offer to place them on a CD or USB external storage device. These drivers are designed for use with Windows 7. Windows XP and Windows Vista drivers are not supported for these computers.

Step 1.
First, you should locate the Boot Camp Assistant in the folder /Applications/Utilities.

Step 2.
Then double-click the Boot Camp Assistant to start it. Note: You need an external optical drive to install Windows.

Step 3.
Now a Download Windows Support Software screen will appear. Enable the Download the Windows support software for Mac radio button.

Step 4.

Now you should use your computer’s administrator password to allow your computer to temporarily store the software.

Step 6.
A progress bar will appear. After the download is complete, a Save Windows support software screen appears. Choose either to Burn a copy to CD or to store a copy on an external USB device.

Congratulations! You have installed Windows 7 on MacBook Air 2010. After that, insert the CD or attach the USB storage device, then follow the onscreen instructions to install the drivers.
